Your files, handled carefully.
Files are processed only to perform your check. SubmitCheck does not store uploaded documents or their extracted text.
What happens to your file
Your file is parsed in memory on the server. Your current work stays in this browser tab; refreshing or closing it clears the workspace. Document text is never written to logs.
Which providers see text
In a real check, the assignment brief is sent through OpenRouter to the configured extraction model (by default DeepSeek V4 Flash) to list requirements. For meaning checks, only short relevant passages of your submission — never the whole file — are sent through OpenRouter to TypeSafe’s Jev model, which returns a judgment only. Their own retention policies apply. The sample makes no external requests.
Keys and logs
The provider key stays on the server and is never sent to your browser. Responses are marked no-store. Without a key, automatic extraction and meaning checks are off and nothing is sent anywhere.
History on this device
Only a generic name, date and status counts are saved in your browser. Documents, filenames and evidence are not stored. You can clear it from the check page.
Saved requirements
Only if you choose “Save requirements on this device”, the confirmed requirements (text taken from the assignment brief) are kept in this browser’s local storage — never your submission, evidence or results. Remove them any time from the check page.
What a result means
SubmitCheck compares your work with requirements you confirmed. It does not predict grades, detect AI writing, check plagiarism or guarantee acceptance. Uncertain results are marked for your review.
